Frequency change BVN February 2018

To change the settings on a Fortec Star receiver: Select Menu,next select Antenna setup,next use Red button to edit TP,

with arrow keys select Frequency, with the numbers keys type 12089 (the new frequency) next, with  the arrow keys select Symbol rate

use the number keys again to type 13500 (the new symbol rate) next, select "edit TP" with the arrow key and then OK. Next select menu again and press the yellow button to scan for the new channels ( this can take a few minutes) when done select OK to save. 

For Blujay and Nfusion receivers: Select "Menu" next select "installation" next select "TP Configuration" then "OK" use the down arrow key to go down untill the old frequency 12076 is selected and press OK, select OK again and use the numbers on the remote to type 12089, next arrow down to select "symbol rate" and type 13500, next arrow down and select search channels and press OK, when search is done select OK again to save and Exit the menu.

BVN will not be on the same preset (Ususally number 1) anymore. The new BVN will be on a new preset, just use the CH up button until you find the new preset with BVN on the new transponder. 

For GEO Sat receivers

press menu select Channel search or motor setup  then press the Red button for TP edit next select the satellite Satmex 6 113W KU   next enter Transponder Frequentie 12089 next select Symbol rate and enter 13500 make sure Polarization is set to H next select search option (One TP FTA) highlight search and press OK When the search is complete you should see BVN on the new preset. 

For those using a Viewsat receiver.

To change the settings for watching BVN. Press STB next you press Menu with Ok select installation you now have to enter your password (default is 0000) 

next select Channel scan and press OK press down arrow until at the bottom of the screen an orange screen is highlighted with "edit TP" to the left of it.

Press OK next scroll down to the line with freq. 12076 press the green F2 button enter 12089 and the 13500 now press exit 5* 

Your BVN picture and sound should be there again.

If you own a Emtech receiver:

Press Menu and select installation enter your password (default 0000) now select Scan Transponder use the left arrow key and remove the 0 at the end of the number 12076 and change it to 12089 next arrow down and select 05787 press left arrow key to erase entire number and replace it with 13500 and press ok

Your receiver will now search for the BVN channel. After the receiver is done searching save the changes and exit out of the menu's. Bvn-TV will no longer by on your old preset 0001 but scroll through the presets and you will find BVN again.
